Dietary Guidelines

Dietary Guidelines according to the U. S. Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Human Services in 1980.
The above guidelines are for healthy people to promote health and to prevent disease.
1. Eat of a variety of foods.
2. Maintain healthy weight.
3. Choose a diet low in fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol.
4. Choose a diet with plenty of vegetables, fruits and grains.
5. Use sugars only in moderation.
6. Use salt and sodium only in moderation.
7. Drink in moderation if you drink .
